The clubhouse

Built for the bowlers who'll never log in

Plenty of members want nothing to do with apps — and a bowls club runs on its clubhouse anyway. Screens by the door, paper on the board, and links that work without an account.

Screens

Four screens, no passwords

Each one is a link you open once on the screen and leave running. Nobody at the club ever types a password into any of them.

Kiosk — by the door

Today's rinks, all day, updating by itself. Members glance at it on the way in, exactly like the old booking sheet — and with an optional member PIN, they can book a free rink right there.

Noticeboard loop — the bar

Today's fixtures, who's on duty, and the bookings, rotating on a spare screen. The cork board, without the drawing pins or the out-of-date notices.

TV display board

A rotating full-screen board for a smart TV: fixtures, duties, bookings and league tables, with type sized to be read across a room. You choose the panels and the order from a ready-made link.

Club Mode — the clubhouse tablet

A locked-down tablet where a steward books a rink, marks a member's availability or enters them into a competition on their behalf. It's the real app, not a cut-down copy — for the members who don't carry a smartphone.

Paper

The print pack

Bowls clubs run on paper, and Bowlside prints it properly instead of pretending it doesn't exist. Everything comes out sized for what clubs actually pin up.

  • Scorecards, four to a sheet

Measured off a real card so the columns land where they should when the sheet is cut up — with cut marks. Print one fixture's cards or a whole week's in one go.

  • The steward's rink sheet

Every game on the green for the day, plus away fixtures and duties, at the club's own local time.

  • Team sheets and sign-up sheets

A plain black-and-white team sheet, a printable sign-up sheet for the board, and a fixtures-by-team document with one team per page.

  • The weekly noticeboard pack

Fixtures, team sheets, bookings and duty rota for the week, printed as one pack for the clubhouse board. League tables print too.

Links

Links that need no account

For everything a member does occasionally, the link itself is the identity — tap it in the email and you're done.

  • One-tap availability replies

Fixture and league availability answered straight from the email — one durable link covers a league player's whole season.

  • Public draws and league tables

Shareable pages for the club website, the noticeboard QR code or the WhatsApp group — supporters follow results with no account.

  • Open events for visiting clubs

Publish an open competition and players from other clubs enter with no Bowlside account at all — entry fee, capacity and closing date handled.

  • Calendars that fill themselves

Members subscribe their own fixtures, matches, bookings and duties into Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar with a private feed.

Feel it in ten seconds

The live demo club has all of this running — open it and try the kiosk, the board and the print pack for yourself.
